Turkey Handprint
Create a colorful turkey handprint craft with your toddler while celebrating gratitude and fine motor skills.
Materials
- White construction paper
- Brown marker
- Brown paint
- Purple paint
- Yellow paint
- Green paint
- Orange paint
- Paint tray
- Paintbrush
- Damp cloths
- A laminator (optional)
Instructions
- Place paint onto a paper tray.
- Use a paintbrush to coat your child’s palm with brown paint, then quickly wipe it off with a damp cloth.
- Paint each finger a different color, wiping off each between colors.
- Press the painted hand onto a sheet of paper.
- Have extra cloths ready for cleanup.
- Finally, draw a nose and feet and add text: “I made this little turkey so everyone can see that I am thankful for my family who loves me!”
Tips
Encourage your toddler to spread their fingers wide when making the handprint.
