Your Turn! My Turn!
Practice taking turns with a ball or toy to build early social skills through simple back-and-forth play.
Materials
- A ball or toy to pass between you
Instructions
- Show your toddler how to roll or pass the ball.
- Roll the ball to your toddler and say, “Your turn.”
- Have your toddler roll or pass the ball back.
- Say, “My turn,” and continue taking turns.
Tips
Keep your language consistent by repeating “your turn” and “my turn” so your toddler begins to understand the pattern of taking turns.
